The always kind and warm Mr. Rogers welcomed us into his neighborhood each week with this whimsical opening featuring the twinkling sounds of the xylophone and composed by Johnny Costa. 'Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood' aired on PBS from 1968 to 2001, with Rogers inviting us to be his neighbor so he could teach us lessons about friendship, acceptance, and how the world works -- from the most mundane functions to more personal quandaries, like coping with the divorce of your parents.
