It's fair to say that the sequel 'Wrath of the Titans' looks like it improves on the remake of 'Clash of the Titans.' Because they never made a sequel to Ray Harryhausen's much beloved 1980's original, this one at least has a cleaner playing field. To help whet appetites, they've released a featurette for Jonathan Liebesman's fantasy epic.

This focuses on the Chimera, one of the film's many new creature additions to this universe. Sam Worthington says he gets thrown around a lot by it, and you can catch glimpses of co-stars Liam Neeson and Rosamund Pike in the action.

If the first film has a bad reputation, it's because it was one of the first films to be hastily post-converted into 3-D in the wake of James Cameron's 'Avatar.' The 3-D was headache inducing, and though this film was also post-converted, it wasn't done in a month's time in hopes of making more money. 2010's 'Clash' made $163 million domestically, and nearly half a billion worldwide. Such explains why we're getting a sequel.

Jonathan Liebesman was responsible for last year's 'Battle: Los Angeles' and has been looking for the right film to break through. Perhaps this is that effort. As long as he delivers big monster thrills and a slightly more coherent narrative, many other things can be forgiven.
