Justin Timberlake is back in the music spotlight with his latest album 'The 20/20 Experience,' after years of taking a hiatus in favor of his acting career. However, is he still looking to keep his movie chops in shape with a role in the upcoming 'Annie' remake? Will he be donning the Daddy Warbucks "Suit & Tie"? Well...not so fast.

JT has been making huge strides in his music comeback with his hit single "Suit & Tie," plus his new album, plus his next one, 'The 20/20 Experience Part 2,' set for a November release. Now, amidst all these priorities for the celeb, will he be adding the Will Smith and Jay-Z-produced 'Annie' remake to his list of commitments?

"Hollywood sources" reportedly told The New York Post that Justin Timberlake is being eyed to star opposite the young Quvenzhane Wallis as Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks, the wealthy businessman who opens his home (and his heart) to little orphan Annie. However, don't get excited yet, all you JT fans. A rep for Sony said these reports are "not true."

Still, it seemed to make sense -- JT and Jay-Z have already collaborated on 'The 20/20 Experience' and performed together for Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" at the 2013 Grammys, so perhaps they were going to continue this relationship...if it wasn't for that debunking.

Will Gluck ('Easy A') is set to direct the film -- which is based on the 1982 film, which is based on the stage musical of the same name, which is based on the comic strip 'Little Orphan Annie.' Will and Jada Smith are producing along with Jay-Z, who's also working on the soundtrack.
