While its release date may not be right around the corner, Battlefield 4 will debut this October for most of the big consoles.

Soldiers will be able to jump into the multiplayer fracas and the environment-destroying action come October 29th, releasing first on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions have been confirmed, but they have yet to receive solid release dates. We should know more about when and where to expect the next-gen versions after E3, depending on how much Sony and Microsoft share about console pricing and delivery dates.

This information comes to us from a short, but sweet update on the official Battlefield Facebook page, giving us something else to look forward to as we near the holiday season.

You can pre-order the game here on your console of choice, though you'll have to register to be notified when the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are open for reservations.
