The 'Captain America 2' Super Bowl trailer debuted during the big game and gave us our first full look at the new footage (after star Chris Evans premiered a little glimpse on 'Good Morning America' the other day). And, after watching this new Super Bowl trailer, we're more excited than ever!

It's been reported that Marvel is so excited about 'Captain America 2,' that they've already started work on 'Captain America 3' with the same creative team (including directors Joe and Anthony Russo). After watching the 'Captain America 2' Super Bowl trailer, we think we know why they're so excited, and have a feeling you'll start to get equally as excited.

Here’s the official synopsis, which sheds some light on the plot:

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

'Captain America 2' stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp and Hayley Atwell, with Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ opens in theaters on April 4.
