Talk about going meta.  In its first season, 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23' (or however you're supposed to say that) surprised viewers by including 'Dawson's Creek' star James Van Der Beek not as an original character, but as a hackneyed, has-been version of himself!  So now that season 2 sees the down-and-out Dawson looking to cash in on his former fame with a 'Dawson's Creek' reunion, what former child sitcom stars will split the 'Middle' and get 'Saved By the Bell?'

Don't lose any sleep over the fact that so far 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23' season 2 has only tapped 'Dawson's Creek star Busy Philipps for its potential 'Creek' reunion, as Entertainment Weekly reports that the October 23 premiere has added former 'Saved By the Bell' and 'Malcolm in the Middle' stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Frankie Muniz!  Of course, both former child sitcom actors will play themselves, coaxing Van Der Beek through his efforts to re-vitalize 'Dawson's Creek' by reuniting the series stars.

Following his iconic stint as Zack Morris of 'Saved By the Bell' and its multiple iterations, Gosselaar has held successful stints in 'NYPD Blue,' 'Raising the Bar,' a lone appearance alongside (and inside) Mary-Louise Parker of 'Weeds,' and recently completed the second season of TNT's 'Franklin & Bash.'  Following 'Malcolm in the Middle,' Muniz has appeared in both 'Criminal Minds' and 'Last Man Standing.'

What say you?  Are you excited to see the former child stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Frankie Muniz playing themselves alongside 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23's James Van Der Beek?  Can the fledgling series handle that much meta?  Tell us if you'll watch the new season in the comments below!
