We're just a couple of days away from the release of what's being hailed as one of the best animated films of the year. We're referring to Laika's 'ParaNorman,' which we gave 8/10 in our review, and it just wowed us again with a final trailer that sets a surprising tone for such a family-friendly movie.

When you see the trailer below, right off the bat it has a very horror-like vibe to it all. You're expecting there to be a jump scare by the end of this trailer from the overlay of Mr. Prenderghast's (voiced by John Goodman) warning to the apprehensive Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee). It shows off some of the wonderful animation that the Laika film has to offer and just makes us even more excited that 'ParaNorman' is just a couple of days away from release.

'ParaNorman' is the story of a young misunderstood boy who has to rise and face adversity when a horrible curse threatens to destroy his town. The voice cast for the film includes Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, John Goodman, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and many others.

Don't forget that 'ParaNorman' is out in theaters this Friday, presented in 2D and 3D. Now check out this final trailer below.
