American Horror Story’ creator Ryan Murphy decided to branch his hold on horror TV with FOX’s ‘Scream Queens,’ and the first cast in the anthology series will seem familiar, both to genre appreciators and ‘Horror Story’ fans alike. ‘Halloween’ legend Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts have officially been cast in the new series, but are they our titular ‘Scream Queens?’

Given a straight-to-series order of 15 episodes for fall 2015, the new series follows a college campus rocked by a series of murders, with two female leads at the center. Each season would reboot itself with a new setting and storyline, as with ‘American Horror Story,’ though presumably keeping the same two-female focus.

FOX has yet to make available any details on either Curtis or Roberts’ characters, though considering the pedigree either brings to the genre, including Roberts’ role in ‘Scream 4,’ we’ll trust the network to put the ‘Scream Queens’ to reasonable work. If the new series feels at all familiar to its ‘Horror Story’ predecessor, that would owe to Murphy’s reunion with producers Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Dante Di Loreto as well.

Well, what do you think? Few details though there are, would you been on board to watch Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts leading FOX’s ‘Scream Queens?’
