You've got to hand it to 'Fringe.'  Even relegated to the so-called "Friday Night Death Slot," facing stunted ratings and given FOX's propensity to cancel anything that moves these days, the J.J. Abrams sci-fi series sure knows how to hang in there and engage viewers with marketing mysteries. So what's the latest hook?Friday, March 23 will see the return of 'Fringe' with "A Short Story About Love," picking up after the events of the spoiler-filled "The End of All Things," where Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson) decided it best to end his re-kindled affair with Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), noting that despite her acquired memories she would never technically be the Olivia he loves from another timeline.  So where does 'Fringe' go next?

Says the official press release on "A Short Story About Love," "Following the recent shocking revelations and emotional events, Peter weighs his options as the Fringe team investigates a killer targeting love."  But what of poor Olivia, burdened by the memories of her alternate timeline doppelganger, with no Peter to share them with?

In the latest teaser for "A Short Story About Love" we see that Olivia turns to none other than Walter Bishop (John Noble) to help her recover memories of her own life, and purge herself of the acquired love for Peter!  But can she do it without losing everything that makes her unique?

And what's this latest backwards message heard after the teaser?  According to internet sources, the recording played forward reveals the voice of The Observer September (Michael Cerveris) saying "love."  But say, didn't he seem to die and disappear from Walter Bishop's lab during the events of "The End of All Things?'
