‘Transparent’ Wins Best TV Comedy at the 2015 Golden Globes
Moppas and Pommas of the world, unite! Amazon’s breakout drama ‘Transparent‘ has officially taken home gold at the 2015 Golden Globes, winning Best TV Series, Comedy or Musical.
Beating out some tough competition that included HBO’s ‘Girls‘ and ‘Silicon Valley,’ Netflix’s ‘Orange is the New Black,’ and The CW’s ‘Jane the Virgin,’ the cast of ‘Transparent’ all took the stage to celebrate their victory with creator Jill Soloway. Soloway thanked the HFPA for their recognition, along with the Trans community as a whole, specifically dedicating the victory to suicide victim Leelah Alcorn, and her own Trans mother.
Soloway hoped that ‘Transparent’ could teach us all something about authenticity, truth and love, and we’ve no doubt season 2 will prove even more revelatory.
What do you think? Did ‘Transparent’ deserve the award for Best TV Comedy at the 2015 Golden Globes? Have you been watching the inaugural season of Amazon’s ‘Transparent?’ Sound off in the comments with your reactions!
