New ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ TV Spots Will Burn the First Order to the Ground
The news cycle has been…upsetting…as of late, but movies are providing a welcome escape over the upcoming holiday season. Lest you forget, there’s a new Star Wars movie hitting theaters in a little over a month, and marketing is in full swing in the lead up to its December 18 release. Two new TV spots have dropped for The Last Jedi — one of which teases the promise of Poe Dameron & Co. burning the First Order to the ground.
That’s certainly an attractive notion — nothing like living vicariously through your intergalactic heroes as they trample all over fascist ideologies! And yes, there is a teensy bit of new footage in the latest TV spots, including a cool moment between Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron and the late, great Carrie Fisher’s General Leia Organa. You can check out the second of the two sneak peeks below:
Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi also features returning stars Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christine, Domhnall Gleeson and Andy Serkis, along with series newcomers Laura Dern, Benicio Del Toro and Kelly Marie Tran (and PORGS!).
The sequel arrives in theaters on December 18.
