Liam Neeson is back playing one of the most overly protective (and badass) fathers out in cinema in 'Taken 2.' Don't believe us? Then that means you haven't seen the trailers, and if that's the case then shame on you.

We see Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) taking a nice vacation out in Istanbul with his daughter (Maggie Grace) and his former wife Lenore (Famke Janssen). We're not entirely sure what she is to Bryan since her husband from the first film isn't around so your guess is as good as ours. Any who, while frolicking around Lenore and Bryan get "taken," leaving it up to their daughter to try and save them. But of course Bryan isn't completely helpless since at some point he breaks from his kidnapper's grasp and accompanies his daughter on a gun-toting adventure. Because every family vacation should end with a possible shoot out.

There's a little bit of additional scenes scattered within the new trailer, courtesy of The Playlist. They do give us a glimpse at the inevitable conversation that comes up between Bryan Mills and his captor who believes the only way to honor his slimy son is to pretty much do the same thing he did in the first film. Hopefully the remainder of the scene involves more growling and an intense battle.

'Taken 2' will be chucked out in theaters everywhere on October 5th.
