Over and over again we've seen the trend to adapt dormant film properties for TV, but it wasn't until now we saw how 'Limitless' the idea could be. Bradley Cooper's 2011 drug trial thriller is the latest to get the TV treatment courtesy of Relativity Media, but will the upcoming 'American Hustle' star have anything to do with the 'Limitless' TV series?

According to Deadline, Cooper will executive produce the 'Limitless' TV series with the original film's Leslie Dixon and Scott Kroopf serving as co-executive producers. For those unaware, 'Limitless' featured Cooper in the role of a struggling writer who undergoes a drug trial that expands his cognitive abilities to using 100% of his brain power, attracting unwanted attention from shadowy forces. The thriller also starred Robert de Niro and Abbie Cornish.

“Limitless is the perfect example of Relativity’s multiplatform approach to creating quality content,” said Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh. Added Georgeville TV CEO Marc Rosen, “The film has an organic natural extension into a compelling and sophisticated one-hour drama that is both a thrill-ride and a social commentary.”

Relativity also maintains plans for an 'Act of Valor' TV series with National Geographic, the company's first scripted drama effort, but what say you? Would you be interested to see 'Limitless' developed as a TV series? Watch the original trailer below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
