We’re still over a month away from Mad Men premiering its final seven episodes, but as Don Draper himself once said, nostalgia is a powerful tool that a carousel can spin us around, again and again. Ol’ Don looks headed for his own personal sunset in the latest Mad Men poster for the end, while a nostalgic new teaser looks back over the last seven years.

As debuted on Vulture, the new poster for Mad Men’s final episodes sees Don at the wheel of his trusty Cadillac, gazing into … well, he’s definitely sitting in a car. As if that weren’t enough clarity on Don’s journey through the final seven hours, series creator Matthew Weiner elaborated (sort of) on the significance of Don’s ride:

It’s designed to tell you that Don is going somewhere. He could be going to work, he could be going away from work. But there is a feeling of, I hope, a little bit of a desperate drive. We see him in his car, and we see that he’s alone, and I think you just have to basically feel that there’s going to be a sense of motion.

Sure, why not? Plus, even if Don’s future remains obscured by the light, AMC’s new teaser for the “End of an Era” takes a look back over the series guaranteed to bring some warmth to an icy February. You can check out the newest spots and poster above and below, while Mad Men‘s final episodes will hit the airwaves on April 5.
