Nothing will ever feel quite right about the world depicted in Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle, and Season 2 will explore that alien culture more in-depth than ever. See for yourself, as a new clip from the second season premiere reveals a disturbing practice for America’s youth with their morning pledge.

Yahoo released the latest clip from the upcoming second season, an opening scene in which Thomas Smith, son to John (Rufus Sewell), arrives for school to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. As you can imagine, it isn’t a pledge anyone should feel comfortable hearing.

Debuting Season 2 on December 16, Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle adapts an old Philip K. Dick novel to imagine a 1962 in which the United States had lost World War II, and subsequently been divided between the German “Greater Nazi Reich,” and the “Japanese Pacific States.”

The series stars Alexa Davalos, Rufus Sewell, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and DJ Qualls. Check out the first Season 2 trailers below, and watch all episodes on Amazon Prime.
