The first trailer for David Cronenberg's 'Maps to the Stars' has arrived online, reuniting the director with his 'Cosmopolis' stars Robert Pattinson and Sarah Gadon, as well as Cronenberg newbies like John Cusack, Julianne Moore, and Mia Wasikowska in this tale of the horrible treatment of child stars and the dark side of Hollywood.

'Maps to the Stars' is based on a screenplay by Bruce Wagner, which follows two former child stars and serves as a commentary on our modern culture. Wagner also turned the screenplay into a novel, 'Dead Stars,' when plans to develop the film with Cronenberg fell through the first time around.

Judging from the first trailer, it does seem to fall in line with more modern Cronenberg, who's given us recent films like 'A Dangerous Method' and 'Cosmopolis,' and moved away from the body horror that made him famous -- and still, there's plenty of unnerving imagery in the trailer, much of it to do with Cusack, Moore, and Olivia Williams. While his work has become more divisive (and while the music in this trailer is pretty atrocious), a new Cronenberg film is still something to get extremely excited for.

'Maps to the Stars' does not yet have a domestic release date, but will likely play at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in May.
