While 'The Avengers' and 'The Amazing Spider-Man' offered all kinds of superpowered throw-downs, fans of more traditional ass-kicking have plenty to look forward to in 2012. Between 'The Bourne Legacy' and 'Taken 2,' action buffs will surely find enough shattered skulls and crushed throats to meet their yearly quota. If glowering, stone-faced heroes obliterating random mercenaries is your kind of thing, you should probably give the new trailers and TV spots for both films a quick watch.

In the new international trailer for 'Taken 2,' (which really should have been called 'Taken...Again!' or 'Taken, Too'), we learn something that the domestic trailer didn't show us...Liam Neeson's Bryan Mills is among the taken! Of course, his "particular set of skills" ensures that he won't be taken for long and that the people who did the taking will live to regret their actions (except for those who die quickly, because they won't live long enough to regret anything, you see). 'Taken 2' looks slicker and bigger than its predecessor, which may not be a good thing, but it looks like it has plenty of Neeson scowling into a cell phone, which is a great thing. The trailer is courtesy of Coming Soon.

Elsewhere on the internet, The Movie Box has compiled three new TV spots for 'The Bourne Legacy' into one handy dandy YouTube video, which you can view below. We're still not sure what we think about a Damon-less Bourne movie, but we have plenty of faith that Jeremy Renner will deliver the goods as an action hero. Heck, he scowls so much and breaks so many bones in these spots that you'd think he was Liam Neeson or something.

'The Bourne Legacy' will kick your ass on August 10th and 'Taken 2' will snap your neck like a twig on October 5th.
