James Mangold's currently filming 'The Wolverine' has one thing going for it: there's no way it could ever be as bad as its predecessor, 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' Like, no way. The only direction this character can go is up. With that said, we're cautiously excited to see the further adventures of Hugh Jackman's adamantium clawed mutant warrior, especially since the movie will follow one of the character's most famous and acclaimed storylines.

And thanks to a few set photos, we know that, for at least one scene, Wolverine will look like a homeless person.

Superhero Hype has the images and they showcase Hugh Jackman in full hobo regalia. Can we safely presume that this wardrobe is the result of those horribly convenient (and much mocked) amnesia bullets from the climax of the previous film? After all, what's an immortal mutant with an indestructible skeleton to do after his memory is shot out of him by Danny Huston? "Become a street person" is the only answer, really.

For the full gallery of images, head on over here. With filming well underway, we should start to see more official stuff soon, but in the meantime, this will have to do.

Here's what the official synopsis tells us:

"Logan begins a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is, unfortunately, promised to another man. Since Logan won't take "no" for an answer, it puts him into battle with her father and her samurai-sword-wielding brothers and Silver Samurai."

The film is scheduled for July 26, 2013.
