14 ‘Nymphomaniac’ Posters Come a Bit Early

If the title didn't already tip you off, Lars Von Trier's 'Nymphomaniac' might be one of the most provocative films of recent memory. After all, this is the film for which Shia LaBeouf said he'll actually have sex on camera. But now 14 new posters have been released, and they make no attempt at toning it down. So be prepared ...

These new 'Nymphomaniac' posters showcase each star of the film -- from its lead, Charlotte Gainsbourg, to Uma Thurman to a towering Stellan Skarsgard and beyond -- in a state of (*cough*) ecstasy. Appropriately, this film is all about sex. Gainsbourg plays the role of Joe, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, who is found beaten in an alley by Skarsgard's Seligman. While nursing her back to health, he listens to her life story, complete with her sexual history.

'Nymphomaniac' is described as "a wild and poetic story of a woman’s erotic journey from birth to the age of 50," and it was one LaBeouf really wanted. While he admitted to tripping on acid in preparation for his role in 'Charlie Countryman,' he revealed that he landed this role by sending Von Trier sex tapes featuring himself and his girlfriend. Plus, he also promises to have un-simulated sex on camera in the film. So there's that to look forward to.

'Nymphomaniac' currently doesn't have a US release, though will debut in Denmark and Norway on Christmas Day (of all days).
