POLL: When Will You See ‘Kick-Ass 2’?

As the summer dwindles away, so too do the big must-see movies of the season. We're in the home stretch now with the options getting slimmer and slimmer, but this weekend offers up one more highly anticipated sequel in the form of 'Kick-Ass 2.' When will you get your ass kicked by it?

It has been three years since the first 'Kick-Ass' was released; the film opened to a decent $19 million at the time, but the brandname has obviously gained some popularity over the years. So too has its stars, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Chloe Grace Moretz, the latter of whose foul-mouthed character, Hit-Girl, became something of a pop-culture favorite. The sequel has also added Jim Carrey as a costumed vigilante, and though his name doesn't ring out the way it used to, it's still a kick to see him go crazy on the big screen.

The critics have not been kind to 'Kick-Ass 2' (it sits at 26% on Rotten Tomatoes), but the general audience doesn't care about the reviews for a movie like this. As one of the summer's final notable offerings, the film looks to appeal to those who are wishing to give the season a rollicking sendoff.
