FOX’s upcoming Prison Break revival continues to lock down (prison puns never fail to amuse, so I’ll spare you) its cast after series star Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, and now another familiar face has checked in for roll call. Original series star and Walking Dead alum Sarah Wayne Callies has officially surrendered to reprise her role, but what “biggest escape ever” lies in store?

FOX confirms that Callies will return as Dr. Sara Tancredi for the new revival series, raising hers and Michael Scofield (Miller)’s child with new husband Scott Ness (Royal Pains alum Mark Feuerstein). Says the description, “When clues surface suggesting that Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever.”

Recent reports suggesting a trip to Yemen, the new series will include among its prison-breaking cast Augustus Prew, Rick Yune and Steve Mouzakis. The revival is also continuing to negotiate for Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Amaury Nolasco to reprise their respective roles as T-Bag, C-Note and Fernando.

On the creative side, the revival will return original Prison Break creator and producing team Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead, Scheuring serving as showrunner and writer.

Stay tuned for the latest, particularly as more original series star sign up for their roles.
