There's a couple of Hollywood actors that can easily be called "America's sweetheart," and Rachel McAdams is one of them. Seriously, it's near impossible not to like her in the romantic movies she's been in. So it's good news she's been cast to be in one alongside a director who made some of the most memorable romantic comedies of the last decade.

The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Rachel McAdams will star in 'About Time' for Richard Curtis, the man behind 'Notting Hill' and 'Love Actually.' Though McAdams seems a great choice as a female lead, she wasn't writer/director Curtis' first pick: Zooey Deschanel was originally going to take on the lead role but couldn't due to scheduling issues.

This comical story centers on a time-traveling man who ends up encountering the woman of his dreams. Co-starring alongside Rachel McAdams is Domhnall Gleeson, better known for playing Bill Weasley in the 'Harry Potter' movies.

The rest of the cast for the film includes Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Lydia Wilson, Margot Robbie and Vanessa Kirby. Principal photography is scheduled to begin this June in London. And before you ask, the time-traveler only has the ability to go back in time. He doesn't have the freedom to to go forward, backward and in parallel worlds like The Doctor does in 'Doctor Who.'
