Denis Villeneuve’s Sicario continues to drop increasingly intriguing — and unnerving — trailers, the latest of which primarily focuses on Benicio Del Toro’s Alejandro, revealed to be quite the imposing hitman. Judging by Villeneuve’s previous films, Sicario isn’t your average drug war action-thriller, and these trailers definitely reinforce that idea.

The new trailer isn’t as lengthy or impactful as the previous trailers, though it still offers a rather disquieting vibe — Emily Blunt plays an FBI agent recruited for a special task force to fight the war on drugs. With the shady Del Toro as her guide, Blunt’s team travels the U.S.-Mexico border, attempting to use one crime boss to ensnare another in a dangerous strategical game.

As you can see in the trailers, Del Toro is not a man to be trusted, nor is he one to be crossed, warning Blunt’s character not to try and understand the complexities of the world she’s entered. There’s something elusive about these trailers, and I can’t wait to see what Villeneuve has up his sleeve after delivering intense, psychologically challenging films like Prisoners and Enemy.

After rising through the ranks of her male-dominated profession, idealistic FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) receives a top assignment. Recruited by mysterious government official Matt Graver (Josh Brolin), Kate joins a task force for the escalating war against drugs. Led by the intense and shadowy Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), the team travels back-and-forth across the U.S.-Mexican border, using one cartel boss (Bernardo Saracino) to flush out a bigger one (Julio Cesar Cedillo).

Sicario hits theaters on September 25.
