Generations of gamers have wondered, often aloud, to anyone who would listen: When will there be a Sonic the Hedgehog movie? And also, will Sonic be absolutely shredded in that movie?

At last we know the answers to both of those eternal questions. Sonic the Hedgehog opens in theaters on November 8, 2019. And, based on the film’s first poster, yes, the dude is shredded as hell. Like, totally sick.

Sonic, you’re looking real jacked baby. You’re looking real jacked!

I like the movie logo a lot. And I absolutely love that the poster also proudly announces it’s from “the producer of The Fast and the Furious.” That’s just incredible. Sonic lives his life a quarter mile at a time. And he’s totally sandwich crazy! Does he go super fast when he hits the NOS button too? He better. Ben Schwartz is doing the voice of Sonic, but now I really wish it was Vin Diesel. Oh, how I wish it. Alas.

IGN even has a fancy motion poster version of this Sonic image, so you can finally see this video game hedgehog and his rippling musculature in all its magnificent blue glory:

This Sonic movie is going to be something else. I can’t wait.
