There’s good news and bad for Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender. Season 3 will premiere in early August, and that’s good! It will have fewer episodes, and that’s bad. But Season 4 is coming this fall, and that’s good! Yes, you can go now. Enjoy the trailer.

The Scream movies had a hard enough time keeping Sidney Prescott in peril for three sequels, so might MTV’s TV adaptation already need its own reboot? That’s the word on Season 3, as Dimension TV is apparently looking to scrap the current storyline and cast.

Netflix’s animation partnership with DreamWorks has yielded significant returns thus far; not just for Guillermo del Toro’s Trollhunters, but also Voltron: Legendary Defender. That formation is getting even stronger, as reports indicate Season 3 is a go for fall 2017, with potentially many more episodes to come.

It may not have the fanfare of its predecessor, but Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender is nonetheless back for Season 2 this very Friday, and looking pretty divided, at that. Our first clips from the new season sees the disparate team members exploring some strange new territory, including underwater worlds, and … a giant pile of garbage. Onward!

Netflix borrowed a few pages from The Legend of Korra to make Voltron: Legendary Defender an impressive success for the streaming network, and Season 2 looks to be building on that well. There’s new heroes, new villains and new worlds in the first official trailer for Season 2, ahead of a January premiere.

The Scream franchise certainly lost its steam with a third film, so might the MTV series follow suit? After a super-sized Season 2, Scream is officially booked for another stab at Season 3, albeit with less episodes, and another showrunner shift. Let’s face it, Netflix’s already-forgiving standards and the required turnaround of animation already gave Voltron: Legendary Defender a strong shot at returning the five lions for Season 2, but there’s better news yet. Season 2 will air as early as later this year, so get ready to form up once again!

The second Scream couldn’t help cashing in on its meta-madness by a movie-within-the-movie open, but will MTV’s Scream Season 2 follow suit? Maybe so, now that the teen slasher has released the full first seven minutes of Season 2, complete with more than a few stabbings.
