There’s good news and bad for Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender. Season 3 will premiere in early August, and that’s good! It will have fewer episodes, and that’s bad. But Season 4 is coming this fall, and that’s good! Yes, you can go now. Enjoy the trailer.

Netflix and DreamWorksTV’s Comic-Con 2017 panel for Voltron: Legendary Defender not only debuted the premiere introduction of Prince Lotor (Telltale Back to the Future voice AJ LoCascio), but also word of the series’ own future. The seven-episode third season will hit Netflix on Friday, August 4, admittedly shorter than its predecessors at eleven, and thirteen episodes apiece.

That said, a fourth season will debut in October, the episode count of which is not confirmed at this time. Here’s the synopsis:

The success of Zarkon’s defeat comes at a price: Shiro has vanished. With the ascension of the mysterious Prince Lotor and without a pilot for the black lion, the team must somehow find the strength to keep fighting. But how can they defend the universe without Voltron?

For those unfamiliar with the series, Voltron: Legendary Defender re-imagines the classic animated property, and features among its cast Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time) as Lance, Bex Taylor-Klaus (Scream) as Pidge, Josh Keaton (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) as Shiro, Tyler Labine (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil) as Hunk, Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) as Keith, Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect) as Princess Allura and Rhys Darby (A Series of Unfortunate Events) as Coran.
