While pretty much every Marvel character ever will be in ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ one familiar face won’t.

It’s been several seasons since Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. made effort to feature any cinematic characters, but one missed opportunity could have set up some intriguing Captain America ties. Emily VanCamp was at one point supposed to appear on S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent 13/Sharon Carter, but missed out over scheduling conflicts.

Sharon Carter, as played by Emily VanCamp, didn’t really have much to do in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She’s ostensibly the love interest in the film, but she’s not the woman that Cap actually kisses in the movie (that would be Black Widow)...

As you may recall from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp played a small but important role as Agent 13, also known as Sharon Carter, niece of our beloved Agent Carter. The Revenge star has signed on to reprise her role in Captain America: Civil War, answering the call of duty (and presumably the call to aid Cap) once again.

McDreamy may not be the only loss ABC viewers will suffer as the current TV season comes to a close. After four seasons, Emily VanCamp will finally have her Revenge put out on ice, now that ABC has officially pulled the plug on its soapy drama.

We got our first official look at 'Avengers 2' through concept art shown during an hourlong TV special on ABC, 'Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe.' Now, in honor of Marvel's 75th anniversary of existence, a second TV special will drop this November. Does this mean we will see the first 'Avengers 2' trailer officially released?
