We’re still waiting to hear whatever became of Dr. Dre’s Apple series with Sam Rockwell and Ian McShane, but in the meantime, Apple is preparing to launch its first reality show with Planet of the Apps. It’s basically Shark Tank, but for app developers, with bonus Gwyneth Paltrow!
The prototypical Jason Statham action hero is a man who can do just about anything — except shave properly. He seems to have trouble keeping his stubble under control. Other than that, though, he’s just about perfect.
It’s been some time since we learned NBC would replace the unendingly topical Donald Trump on Celebrity Apprentice with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and at last we know how the rest of the series will shake out. In addition to moving to California, Season 8 will feature guests the likes of Tyra Banks, Jessica Alba, Warren Buffett, and so many more.
It's been a few years since the release of Jason Statham's 'The Mechanic,' the remake of the 1972 film starring Charles Bronson, and now the action flick is getting a sequel and Statham is getting some fresh co-stars: Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba, and Michelle Yeoh have joined the cast of 'Mechanic: Resurrection.' And although production has already begun, it'll be a while before you see this one -- 2016 to be exact.
'Stretch' has gone through a bit of a rough period. The film, directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Jason Blum, was originally set for a theatrical premiere back in March, but Universal Studios decided to drop it from its release slate, choosing to utilize other creative methods. Now, with an Amazon and iTunes release on October 7, and a VOD release on October 14, the first 'Stetch' trailer has debuted online.
Jessica Alba's likeness has been committed to at least four action figures at this point -- the 'Dark Angel' doll, the 'Fantastic Four' figure, at least two 'Sin City' mini-Albas -- but that doesn't mean that the actress keeps the little hers around her house. In fact, Alba keeps them where they belong. In storage. Away from her family. Considering how racy her latest doll is, that's probably a good idea.
Director Robert Rodriguez released a new 'Sin City 2' trailer unto the Reddit community following an AMA, and it is exactly what you'd expect -- hardboiled narration, stylized black-and-white cinematography, tough guys, sexy women, and an absurdly good cast that includes the likes of Josh Brolin, Eva Green, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke and Lady Gaga.
With so much attention lavished on comic book adaptations, it's surprising that 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' isn't projected to be one of the bigger films of the summer. Then again, it doesn't feature any superheroes, and it's a sequel to a film that came out nine years ago. But to stoke interest in the return to 'Sin City,' character posters have been released.
