FOX 2016 Moves '24: Legacy' and 'Prison Break' to Midseason
Following its initial orders, FOX didn’t waste much time setting up a schedule for the 2016-17 season, including similar event series bows as 24: Live Another Day and The X-Files. This time around, 24: Legacy and Prison Break will get the big midseason debuts, while newer shows like Lethal Weapon will bow on Wednesdays.

And so, it begins. FOX already got the ball rolling on its new 2016 series with the order of 24: Legacy, and now a number of other reboots have taken hold. Not only has the new take on The Exorcist gotten an official greenlight, so too has the Lethal Weapon reboot, Lord and Miller’s time-travel comedy, a baseball drama and more.

The movie-TV reboot train isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and after an October announcement, Lethal Weapon is finally moving forward at FOX with a full pilot order. Not only that, but Damon Wayans Sr. will follow his son to the network, getting too old for this s–t as the new Lethal Weapon’s Roger Murtaugh.

The 1987 film 'Lethal Weapon' starred Mel Gibson as a reckless narcotics cop who is reluctantly partnered with a weary homicide detective, played by Danny Glover, to solve a young woman's suicide. Directed by Richard Donner, the action flick was so successful that it spawned three sequels, and there's even been talk of a reboot. Now, 27 years later, we revisit the cast of this buddy-cop classic an
