Looks like Marc Maron’s garage is about to get a major overhaul, especially after closing down IFC’s Maron. The famed podcaster and comedian will take the male lead role of Netflix’s new women’s wrestling comedy GLOW, joining Alison Brie in the Jenji Kohan-created series.

Marc Maron followed the suit of Louie-style comedian dramedies down his own path with IFC’s Maron for four seasons, albeit one that will come to an abrupt end with the current run. Maron confirms that Season 4 will officially put Maron to rest this week, even as IFC would likely welcome a fifth season.

Born partly out of his podcast and own life, his sitcom 'Maron' found a home at IFC, which seems a good fit.
