Even more talent populates the next crop of Amazon pilots to choose from, including Iron Man 3 director Shane Black, Sacha Baron Cohen, and a can’t-miss comedy from Tig Notaro, Louis C.K. and Diablo Cody.

A biopic based on the life of legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury has been in the works for years, with Sacha Baron Cohen previously attached to star before he was forced off the project by surviving band members who disagreed with his vision. Since then, the project has fumbled, with various actors and directors rumored for the biopic, which has made negligible progress since Cohen’s departure. Now it appears that the surviving bandmates have had a change of heart, pulling Cohen back onto the project, this time granting him complete control.

Sacha Baron Cohen has been attached to star in a biopic of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury for many years now but the project may finally be headed to the big screen. Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper, who worked with Cohen on 'Les Miserables,' is attached to direct the film, which could begin production later this year.
