It’s hard to believe The Venture Bros. has been airing for thirteen years, even with only six seasons to its name. That’s premium animation and finite resources for you, but we may finally have a heading on on Season 7, as reports point toward a late 2018 premiere.
We’re slowly acclimating to the concept of our favorite shows taking their sweet time between seasons, though Adult Swim’s Venture Bros. has spent close to thirteen years on its six runs. Now, a new post from star James Urbaniak reveals that Season 7 production is underway, and Rusty’s back at it.
The Venture Bros. production has changed quite a bit over the years, once airing 13 episodes a season over largely unbroken runs, and now averaging eight with various specials in between. The same may apparently be true of Season 7, some of which has already been written, and may end up as a go-between special after Season 6.
We’ve waited a lifetime for The Venture Bros. to return for Season 6, and yesterday’s big trailer isn’t the only thing keeping us company before the January 31 premiere. The wait for an official premiere date on The Venture Bros. Season 6 has been almost as grueling as the wait between seasons itself, but it looks as if Rusty and co. at last have their return. Following initial reports of February, Adult Swim has officially set The Venture Bros. Season 6 for a late January bow.
Back in September, the notoriously spaced-out Venture Bros. finally gave us a look at its upcoming sixth season, setting an even further premiere for February 2016. Now, we finally have a look at all the pop culture panache and weirdness permeating the first full trailer, and yes, a Nathan Fillion Spider-Man that … ahem, webs his pants.
