Logan looks like no other superhero movie we’ve ever seen before, and Hugh Jackman and James Mangold have been especially plugging its desolate, dingy look. They’ve given us image after image, all of which have kept this really great post-apocalyptic western look. Today, They’ve given us one more in preparation for tomorrow’s new trailer, which Jackman seems very excited about.

When the hullabaloo about Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool possibly having a cameo in the next Wolverine movie erupted last week, everyone involved in Logan was quick to put those rumors to rest. But that might not mean we’ll never see the two X-Men in a movie together. After everything had died down, Reynolds had a chance to reflect and mentioned that he would be totally down to team up with the Canadian superhero, but there’s one big obstacle to get past: for all intents and purposes, Logan will be Hugh Jackman’s last run as Wolverine.

Christmas may be over, but 20th Century Fox has a last minute gift for all you Wolverine fans: To commemorate the iconic hero’s original comic-book debut, the studio is giving away 1,974 frames from the upcoming final trailer for Logan. It’s a limited edition giveaway deal (obviously), but if you head to Logan’s new viral website and enter your info, you can receive a postcard with one of those 1,974 frames — to hang on your wall or send to a friend, or maybe shove in a shoebox with the keepsakes from your other exes.

Every new image from the upcoming Logan seems to work as hard as it can to drive the same point home: THIS MOVIE WILL BE DARK AND GRITTY. This superhero movie is not like other superhero movies, because of death and seriousness and a Children of Men-esque color palette. While the constant reminders are getting a little old, it’s still pretty exciting that a superhero movie featuring a character as popular as Wolverine is choosing to go a different route, opting for realism (as much as it can, that is) and emotion rather than becoming a special effects soup. The new Logan poster continues the trend with a design that’s all the more intense for its simplicity.

Ryan Reynolds’ wish for a proper Deadpool and Wolverine crossover movie may never come true, but the actor has apparently achieved something pretty close with a small cameo in Logan. According to a new report, the actor recently filmed a scene for Hugh Jackman’s final bow as Wolverine, though it’s unclear if we’ll actually see the two characters share the screen when Logan hits theaters next spring.

Up until now, the identity of Richard E. Grant’s antagonist in Logan has been a mystery. Earlier rumors pegged the British actor as Nathaniel Essex, aka Mister Sinister, the man behind that Essex Corp. briefcase in the post-credits scene from X-Men: Apocalypse. More recently, another report suggested that Grant is actually playing a surgeon connected to Wolverine’s origins and the creation of his clone, X-23. Thanks to a new photo from the upcoming Wolverine sequel, we have an answer — and our first look at Grant’s shadowy villain.

For the past month, director James Mangold and the official wponx Instagram account have been keeping us intrigued with a series of beautiful black and white photos from Logan — the upcoming Wolverine sequel that marks Hugh Jackman’s final outing as the iconic hero. The latest image shakes things up a bit, offering a full-color sneak peek at Old Man Logan and his new friend, a young mutant named Laura, or, as she’s known to comic-book fans, X-23.

It seems likely that we’ll get another Logan trailer before the end of the year, but until then, the official Instagram account for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine sequel is keeping us on our toes with plenty of intriguing images — like the latest, another black and white shot, this time of a mysterious metal arm. But who does this arm belong to? Pierce, or one of his Reavers? Or perhaps some still-unseen villain?

March 2017 isn’t that far away — in just four months, we’ll be heading to the theater to check out Logan, featuring Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine. That’s kind of a big deal, considering the actor has portrayed the iconic X-Men hero on screen eight times, with the upcoming Wolverine sequel serving as his ninth film in the franchise. As such, we’ve really been enjoying director James Mangold’s frequent photo updates, which are likely to become more frequent in the months ahead.

Right on cue, director James Mangold has shared another image from the upcoming Wolverine sequel, this time featuring Hugh Jackman’s titular hero, his crazy ripped abs and a very unpleasant exchange with a mirror. It seems like “Old Man” is definitely the best way to describe this iteration of Logan.
