Warwick Davis Is Definitely in the ‘Han Solo’ Spinoff
Star Wars’ Han Solo spinoff gives the franchise another opportunity to introduce some budding new actors and characters to the galaxy far, far away, but there’s still plenty of room for some veterans in the crowd. Warwick Davis, whom we last saw giving a tour of the set for charity, is still on set at Pinewood Studios, so it’s a pretty good bet that he’s in the movie.
‘Star Wars’ Set Video Reveals New Alien in Han Solo Spinoff
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, Lucasfilm’s Force for Change has partnered with Omaze for a huge charity drive commemorating the past, present and future of the franchise. That future includes Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s (still untitled) young Han Solo spinoff, which is still lightyears (OK, months) away from release, so it’ll quite a while before we see a teaser. But with Force for Change heading into hyper-drive, we can expect more videos like the one above, in which Star Wars vet Warwick Davis drops in on Lord and Miller’s set and gives us a special sneak peek at a new alien character.
Warwick Davis Confirms ‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Return
Warwick Davis has been with the Star Wars franchise since Return of the Jedi, when he made his big screen debut as Wicket the Ewok. Since then, he’s had non-Ewok roles in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, The Force Awakens and the upcoming anthology film Rogue One — in which he plays the new Space Monkey character that’s already becoming a bit of a fan favorite. It looks like Davis isn’t leaving the galaxy far, far away anytime soon, as the actor himself has confirmed that he’ll also appear in Episode VIII.
