Sheesh, cut the guy a break, eh?  While earlier today we learned of yet another out-of-this-world headache that Howard Wolowitz would face during his time up in outer space, it seems even back on Earth the challenges are never ending for 'The Big Bang Theory' character.  In spite of his many efforts to distance himself from his mother over the years, what happens when she finds a new man of her own?  And one with a face chewed off by hyenas, at that?  Okay, we might be exaggerating a bit.

'The Big Bang Theory' season 6 doesn't seem to want to stop messing with the space-bound Howard Wolowitz, who all this week we've seen to be terrorized by his mother's shrill voice, as well as his own newlywed wife for failing to inform his mother they'd be moving out.  Still it seems not all will be well once Howard returns to Earth, as his mother will have a new man in her life: 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Ken Lerner!

Okay, so it's been ages since Lerner's character Principal Bob Flutie was famously chewed apart by hyena-possessed students, but we're sure 'The Big Bang Theory's characters would appreciate the reference.  In any case, TVLine has revealed that Lerner will portray Mrs. Wolowitz’s dentist boyfriend, Dr. Schneider, who "plays doctor" with Howard's mother in a unique way.

Mind you, having a boyfriend certainly won't bring the famously off-screen character (voiced by Carol Ann Susi) out of hiding, but rather Howard will have his own interaction with the man.

'The Big Bang Theory' will return next week with its season 6 premiere "The Date Night Variable," so tell us if you'll watch in the comments!
