'The Bourne Legacy' recently screened for press, and while we have yet to hear word on if it's good or not, we don't really care, because it has Jeremy Renner kicking everyone's butt in what looks to be a high-octane sequel to the popular action franchise. And these new clips and images will hopefully help to prove that.

Indiewire has some brand new clips and images from the August 10th Tony Gilroy directed stunner. Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton and Joan Allen are featured in the Matt Damon free sequel.

The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films.

The three clips are pretty cool. The first one has Renner and Norton in the same scene, going over what it is they actually do. The second clip has Renner escaping some bad guys and using a creative way to try and take one out. The third one is more talking. We don't care about talking in an action movie.

And here's some new images. Click on any of them to see the rest.
