Is there a better voice for the evil dragon Smaug in 'The Hobbit 2' than Benedict Cumberbatch (aka the 'Star Trek Into Darkness' baddie)? If you couldn't get enough of his milky voice in the latest trailer, Warner Bros. has featured him again in two new TV spots.

Bilbo's unexpected journey to help the dwarves reclaim their homeland from this malevolent creature is far from over, and this next installment will see him face down 'The Desolation of Smaug.' But even his slippery self is no match against the beast if he steps into the light.

Aside from Smaug, 'The Hobbit' will also introduce for the first time Lee Pace ('Guardians of the Galaxy') as Elvenking Thranduil, Luke Evans ('Fast and Furious 6') as Bard the Bowman and Evangeline Lilly ('LOST') as Tauriel. Not to mention Orlando Bloom will show his boyishly handsome face one more time as the ever-popular Legolas. Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman and Richard Armitage also reprise their roles in the film. From the official Warner Bros. plot synopsis:

Having survived the beginning of their unexpected journey, the Company continues East, encountering along the way the skin-changer Beorn and a swarm of giant Spiders in the treacherous forest of Mirkwood. After escaping capture by the dangerous Wood-elves, the Dwarves journey to Lake-town, and finally to the Lonely Mountain itself, where they must face the greatest danger of all—a creature more terrifying than any other; one which will test not only the depth of their courage but the limits of their friendship and the wisdom of the journey itself—the Dragon Smaug.

'The Hobbit 2,' titled 'The Desolation of Smaug,' hits theaters December 13.
