You’re warned of some minor spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 5 from here on out, but suffice to say, Sunday’s “The Distance” hammered home that the mysterious Alexandria seems entirely too good to be true. Carl certainly thinks so, judging by the first sneak peek of next week, drawing his knife at some suspicious sounds emanating from one of the idyllic homes.

So reads AMC’s always-descriptive synopsis of next week’s “Remember”:

The group has a difficult time molding to a new lifestyle, forcing them to consider whether they can be the people they once were.

Well, nothing if not on the nose! So what might darken the doorway that poor Carl suffers to investigate on his own? Might Alexandria be concealing a community of walkers, or more sinister survivors? Where’s Rick, that he’d allow Carl to explore the nefarious neighborhood all by his lonesome? What other alliteration might arise from the annals of Alexandria?
