‘Thor 2′ First Look: See Shots From a Big Battle Sequence

'Thor 2' (aka, 'Thor: The Dark World') is currently filming in Bourne Wood, Surrey, England and we've got our first shot of the cast involved in what looks to be a massive battle sequence.

While Tom Hiddleston will return as Loki, 'Thor 2' will have a bigger (badder?) villain in Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston), the leader of the Dark Elves. The scene being filmed below, looks to take place in their kingdom as Sif (Jaimie Alexander), one of the Warriors Three, is seen battling alongside some Nordic types (including some warriors with Loki-style helmets).

There has been no official plot synopsis revealed but would appear to involve events on Earth, Asgard and Svartálfar. In addition to Chris Hemsworth, Alexander, Hiddleston and Eccleston, other returning cast include Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings and Idris Elba.

Directed by Alan Taylor ('Game of Thrones'), 'Thor: The Dark World' will hit theaters on November 8, 2013.
