'Lost' star and epic name-haver Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has joined the cast of 'Thor: The Dark World' as the film's big baddie. We wonder if he's kept Mr. Eko's stick lying around for just such an occasion.

Variety reports that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will star in 'Thor: The Dark World' as one of the film's lead villains, insinuating there's more than one foe for our favorite thunder god to demolish in the upcoming sequel to last year's 'Thor.' Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play the dual roles of Kurse and Algrim, described in the Marvel comics as the most powerful in a race of dark elves, tasked by Malekith to fight Thor. After a dangerous battle, Algrim is cast down into lava, where his armor saves him, but he loses his memory, and a cosmic entity restores him by transforming him into an even more powerful being known as Kurse.

Still following? Good! Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins Chris Hemsworth, who will reprise his role as Thor, as well as returning co-stars Tom Hiddleston as Thor's mischievous brother Loki, Anthony Hopkins as their father, Natalie Portman as Thor's lady friend Jane, and Kat Dennings, the latter of which was announced yesterday.

'Thor: The Dark World' is currently slated for a November 8, 2013 release.
