Everything we've seen so far from 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' has indicated that the Times Square battle between Spider-Man and Electro (and later Green Goblin), will be the film's massive battle sequence. From the trailer, to the previous poster, to Spider-Man showing up at the actual Times Square on New Year's Eve showing another clip from that same sequence, it's all been pushing this one big fight. Now, we have three new 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' posters and - guess what? - they're all centered around the Spider-Man vs. Electro Times Square fight.

Here's the first thing we noticed about these new 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' posters: Electro is the same in each and every one. Not just sorta looks the same, but more like they actually just copied and pasted the same Electro pose over three Photoshop images.

We probably only needed one of these posters (the reflection in Spidey's eye would've worked fine) and the others just seem like needless retreads off the same theme. Yes, Spider-Man and Electro are going to fight in Times Square. We feel like there could've been something more here to indicate the mood of the film or the tone they're looking for (not unlike this 'Captain America 2' poster), mostly because so far we have no indication of the mood of the film. Considering where the story seems to be heading, we anticipated a more somber, ominous tone to the marketing campaign, but so far the message has just been that bigger will be better.

Take a look at the new 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' posters below and let us know what you think. 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' opens in theaters on May 2, 2014.
