‘Walking Dead’ Season 7 Synopsis Recalls Long-Forgotten Character
The Walking Dead of Season 7 is a far-cry from the early days of Season 1, and it seems some ominous words from a forgotten friend will come back to haunt Rick as such. Our official title and synopsis for the October 23 premiere has arrived, calling back to mind a Walking Dead character many thought they’d never hear from again.
AMC released the official title for the 90-minute premiere, now dubbed “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be.” For those understandably drawing a blank, those words were first spoken by CDC Dr. Edwin Jenner (The Americans star Noah Emmerich) way back in the first season; at the time referencing Rick’s “I’m grateful” for the opportunity to escape with his family.
As you can expect, however, the full synopsis for “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” is less than illuminating:
Last season ended with Rick and our group kneeling helplessly before Negan and his group. What Negan does will haunt those who survive forever.
Rick certainly looked haunted by the recent clip at New York Comic-Con, but one wonders if the episode itself will actually reference the group’s brief trip to the CDC. Only five from the current cast of characters were actually present for the episode, including Rick, Carl, Daryl, Glenn and Carol (who herself is off at the Kingdom with Morgan).
All will be revealed on October 23, but in the meantime , check out the latest clip from Season 7 premiere “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” below.
