We’ve two Walking Dead episodes left in 2016, and it looks like next week’s penultimate “Sing Me a Song” might finally break with Season 7's piecemeal approach. Not only will Negan and the Saviors return, but our first clip sees Michonne out on the road, doing her best impression of The Wire.

Following Sunday’s “Swear,” AMC released an extended sneak peek of Season 7A’s penultimate outing “Sing Me a Song,” picking up with Michonne after Rick and Aaron left on last week’s supply mission. In it, Michonne seems to borrow a page from Omar Little by whistling “Farmer in the Dell” to announce her presence, but why the apparent interest in attracting walkers?

Here’s how AMC describes “Sing Me A Song”:

A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies.

Helpful as always, but from the looks of the preview below, we’ll likely be spending more time with Negan and Daryl or the supply mission between Rick and Aaron, than Michonne. Either way, one hopes at least some kind of plan is coming together, lest Season 7 spend all of its time cowering under Negan’s heel.
