Thus far, most of the castings announcements for '24' event series followup 'Live Another Day' have come from the existing pool of characters, though now it seems one of our first newbies will seriously get on Jack Bauer's bad side. Emmy-winner Judy Davis has been announced for a recurring role as a German arms dealer, but what could put her in Jack Bauer's path?

According to reports, Davis ('Life with Judy Garland') will take the role of a "fierce" German arms dealer named Margot who comes to tangle with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in the Europe-set production. The role is set at recurring, meaning we'll likely meet more baddies as the airdate approaches.

Elsewhere, ’24: Live Another’ day has been confirmed to take place over 12 episodes, jumping between hours in a story that sees Jack Bauer returning alongside his partner Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), William Devane and Audrey Raines (Kim Raver). ‘Live Another Day’ will also have its A-game behind-the-scenes talent with the returning ’24′ team of writer/producers Howard Gordon (‘Homeland‘), Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Robert Cochran, Brian Grazer, Jon Cassar and Kiefer Sutherland.

What do you think? Now that 2014 lies within our sights, does Jack's newest villain have you primed for '24' to 'Live Another Day?' Tell us what you want to see from the new revival series in the comments!

UPDATE - 3:45 P.M. - Deadline has amended their original article to reflect that Davis' character Margot will in fact be a "British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist," as the role evolved from its initial conception.
