A&E’s ‘Those Who Kill’ With Chloe Sevigny Gets 10-Episode Order

AE Those Who Kill Chloe Sevigny

A&E already scored a major success in the original scripted series market with their adapted drama ‘Longmire,’ let alone the recent success and season 2 renewal of ‘Psycho’ prequel series ‘Bates Motel.’ Now, the cable network is doubling down on its original programming pickup with a series order for ‘Those Who Kill,’ a Danish-adapted murder drama starring ‘American Horror Story: Asylum‘ player Chloe Sevigny.

If ‘Longmire’ got A&E’s foot in the door, and ‘Bates Motel’ kicked it open, then the cable network’s upcoming murder drama ‘Those Who Kill’ might prove the biggest success yet. We’ve learned that A&E has issued a full 10-episode order to the series, adapting a Danish crime series inspired by the work of author Elsebeth Egholm, and starring Chloe Sevigny and James D’Arcy.

The series follows intelligent rookie detective Catherine Jensen (Sevigny), as she attempts to come to terms with her past by investigating her own stepfather, who may be a serial killer, as well as her missing brother. Jensen enlists the help of forensic psychiatrist Thomas Schaffer (D’Arcy) to help her get into the minds of serial killers, all the while luring Schaffer into her own personal investigation.

“’Those Who Kill’ is not a crime procedural about serial killers – it’s a deep serialized character portrait of two compelling yet damaged individuals coming together through the revelation of their dark past,” said A&E President Bob DeBitetto. “We are thrilled to have such an incredible cast and crew signed on to this project and the result should be an absolutely riveting series.”

Brian Grazer also executive produces ‘Those Who Kill,’ but what say you? Does A&E have another hit drama on their hands?
