‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′ Will See Big Changes to Spidey’s Costume

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' will see a major expansion of the new Spider-Man movie universe, what with Mary Jane Watson, Electro, Harry Osborn and many more familiar faces joining the film. But here's another big change: Spider-Man's costume.

The "gnarly web shooters" also could hint to a McFarlanization of the character as the webbing drastically changed under the artist's run. Where it was previously a simple string, McFarlane described his revamped web design as "spaghetti webbing" and was thicker and more rope-like.
