The very latest set of screenshots from Ubisoft's upcoming piratical adventure, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, features a ton of multiplayer action.

We're not exactly sure what's going on in a bunch of these screenshots, but we're having one hell of time trying to figure it out. At the very least, we're given brief looks at the multiplayer characters we'll be controlling online.

They seem to stay true to previous designs, with one assassin resembling a cross between a Colonial version of Harley Quinn and the Hellequin from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

There is also some artwork that features characters called The Rebel and Lady Black, looking menacing and seductive all at the same time. We can't wait to see these two assassin's in action.

Finally, a few screens give us a preview of the menu screens we'll see in the multiplayer. As always, the menus look clean, fairly straightforward and user-friendly.

Let us know which of these characters you're looking forward to seeing when Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is released on Oct. 29 for PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions following soon after.
