It's been a long road getting there, but Brian Michael Bendis' 'Powers' has finally come out of the shadows with a first trailer for the forthcoming PlayStation TV series. The show's New York Comic-Con panel premiered the first footage of the upcoming superhero comic adaptation, with plenty of 'Powers' and stars on display.

Sony TV's forthcoming PlayStation original series 'Powers' has debuted to mixed reactions by its first photos of the cast, though fans of the Brian Michael Bendis comic adaptation will get a much closer look at the series from New York Comic-Con this weekend. Where last week saw our first look at Sony TV's forthcoming PlayStation series 'Powers,' debuting a photo look at Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward as comic characters Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, Sony is seriously supercharging their promotion. Not only have four new images of the Brian Michael Bendis-adapted series come to light, but so too will the first trailer at a New York Comic-Con 2014 panel!

Just last week saw Sony TV's forthcoming 'Powers' series adding its highest profile cast to date with comedian Eddie Izzard, but now the comic-adapted drama has entered a whole new district. Sharlto Copley has been tapped for the leading role in PlayStation's original 'Powers' series, along with 'The Killing' vet Michelle Forbes in a significant part.

We're still not entirely certain what to make of Sony TV's forthcoming 'Powers' adaptation, set to debut in December 2014 as a PlayStation original series, but at the very least the comic drama's cast is shaping up nicely. Comedian Eddie Izzard has joined the series in a villainous new role, along with recent 'Game of Thrones' baddie Noah Taylor, and Olesya Rulin.

Sony TV's forthcoming original PlayStation drama 'Powers' has been through quite a few iterations in development, even originally shooting an FX pilot, but now it seems the superhero serial is finally coming together. 'The Following' star Susan Heyward has landed the leading role of Detective Deena Pilgrim, while two more have also been added to the cast.

Brian Michael Bendis' 'Powers' TV series had drifted through TV development hell for years before Sony TV officially greenlit the superhero drama as its first PlayStation original series, and now the first major name has joined. 'Hannibal,' 'Breaking Bad' and feature director David Slade will helm the first two episodes of Sony TV's 'Powers,' scheduled to debut in December 2014.
