Prior to FOX's official announcement of its summer Animation Domination High Definition line-up, the first animated short of 'Axe Cop' not only previewed what lay in store for the absurdist comic series, but also revealed that 'Parks and Recreation' star Nick Offerman would lend his voice to the axe-wielding crime-fighter. Now, with its premiere set for Saturday, July 27, FOX has released yet another 'Axe Cop' short to promote the upcoming block. See 'Axe Cop' as the United States president inside!

FOX's upcoming summer animation block "Animation Domination High Definition" still seems something of a mystery to us, but Nick Offerman's 'Axe Cop' alone remains enough for us to at least check it out. The block will debut along with ‘High School USA!’ and an untitled project from Kenny and Keith Lucas debut on Saturday, July 27 from 11:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Each series will run at fifteen minutes each, ordered for apiece. It remains unknown for the moment what will fill the other 45 minutes of the weekly block.

‘Axe Cop’ itself chronicles the adventures of an axe-wielding police officer and his array of sidekicks, was created in 2010 by then 5 year-old Malachai Nicolle, who supplies the stories and ideas for the comics as his adult brother Ethan Nicolle illustrates. In addition to Nick Offerman as the titular character, the full voice cast will include Offerman’s wife Megan Mullally, Patton Oswalt, Ken Marino, Peter Serafinowicz and guest stars such as ‘Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito and Jonathan Banks, rapper “Tyler, The Creator,” Rob Huebel, and ‘Community‘ creator Dan Harmon.
