Filming is currently under way for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,' and while the film won't hit theaters until 2016, rumor has it that we could see a teaser trailer in the next couple of months. That's not entirely implausible, given that the film did show off a little teaser action at Comic-Con over the summer, and Warner Bros. does have another major event film hitting theaters pretty soon.

The rumor comes from Batman-on-Film.com, which reports that, according to their sources, a teaser for 'Batman v Superman' is already "complete and ready to go," and will likely hit theaters attached to a November or December film. Seeing as Warner Bros. has 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' hitting theaters on December 17, that seems like the most appropriate pairing -- that is, if the rumor is to be believed.

Again, it's a rumor, and while it's not entirely implausible, 'Batman v Superman' doesn't hit theaters until March 25, 2016, which would put this first teaser a whole 15 months ahead of its release date. That's a mighty huge gap. According to the rumor, the teaser focuses primarily on Ben Affleck's Batman character, so this really depends on WB's marketing strategy -- perhaps they're teasing each superhero separately before combining both into one trailer? That might account for the additional marketing time.

For now, it's an unconfirmed rumor, but one that's still intriguing.
